The K30's innovative use of Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser sensing technology, commonly found in smart driving applications, has been adeptly adapted for the oral care field. This technology provides high-precision intelligent protection, with real-time monitoring and smart algorithms for accurate operation. The result is a rapid response time of 0.05 seconds and a macro precision measurement of 6.5mm, ensuring the device operates only when correctly positioned in the mouth.

Operation of the K30 is designed with the user in mind. A digital screen displays the selected mode, and upon pressing the power button, the sensor activates and is ready for use. The oral irrigator begins its work once the nozzle is placed in the mouth and stops immediately when removed, providing a seamless and safe dental care routine for children.

The project, which began in June 2021 in Shanghai, involved meticulous user research, including on-site visits and medical professional consultations, to ensure the device met the real-world needs of children and parents. The design team, including Chengshen Tan, Ningning Zhao, Sun Mingzi, and Yixin Huang, overcame significant challenges, such as integrating ToF laser sensing technology into a compact, child-friendly product.
